Bishop Milton P. Jackson Jr., Jurisdictional Prelate of Kansas Central Jurisdiction of the Church of God In Christ, is a native son of Kansas Central. He has been a member of Kansas Central for over 46 years, and has served in many leadership positions in the Jurisdiction and our national church. Bishop Jackson also worked 27 years for the Santa Fe Railroad. Working in several management positions there, he retired in 1995 as a Purchasing Manager.
Bishop Jackson is a visionary, churchman, and active leader in the church and community. He is the Founding pastor of the Abundance of Life Church. Bishop Jackson has pastored the Abundance of Life Church for over 36 years. He has received numerous honors and awards for his service, in both the community and the church world.
Bishop Jackson loves the Lord, and he is excited about serving as the Jurisdictional Prelate of Kansas Central Jurisdiction. He welcomes the challenge of carrying on the legacy of Kansas Central. God has given him a powerful motto for our Jurisdiction to follow. That Motto being: “We Are A Jurisdiction Serving God In The Spirit of PEACE, UNITY, AND LOVE.” The acronym we use for our motto is simply “PUL”. Quite often, Bishop Jackson shares our motto and acronym with the Jurisdiction, motivating and encouraging us to “PUL” together with the strength of God. Consequently, he says when this is done in Peace, Unity, and Love, we will be able to carry on the legacy of our Jurisdiction. It is then that we will take our rightly place, in the “Kingdom of God”.
He is a 3rd generation member of the Church of God In Christ. Bishop Jackson comes from a long-line of family members who were, and are members of the Church of God In Christ. His late father was Auxiliary Bishop M.P. Jackson Sr. and his late mother was District Missionary Ruth Jackson. He has been married to Dr. Betsy Vaughn-Jackson for over 49 years. They have two grown sons, De’Von Pierre and Dante’ Paul.
